MANUEL SCHEUERNSTUHL.

Manuel, originally from Munich, Germany, works as a video journalist and producer for BBC, DW and other international outlets, based in New York City.

In 2025, he completed his Master of Science in Journalism at Columbia University as a Fulbright Scholar and John Chancellor Scholar for Excellence in Journalism. He previously earned a degree from Stuttgart Media University and studied at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.

With a digital-first approach, he has reported from the United Nations, Minneapolis, covered presidential inaugurations in Washington, D.C. and delved into cultural and socioeconomic issues that shape society. His visual stories are reaching millions in multiple languages across broadcast, social channels and on site.

Original Format: Steps with Manu.

Manuel launched his project Steps with Manu in 2023 – a Gen-Z-focused multimedia podcast featuring in-depth conversations with politicians, journalists, and artists. The show booked 15 high-profile guests and generated thousands of views across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. It earned 127 five-star reviews on Spotify and reached hundreds of thousands of users across social platforms.
